Minnesota Twins Schedule

I was looking over the Minnesota Twins Schedule for the month of June and I noticed that there aren’t very many Metrodome home games the month of June. With the Indians series behind us, there are only 2 more series coming to the Metrodome this June.

6/16 TUE PITTSBURGH 7:10
6/17 WED PITTSBURGH 7:10
6/18 THU PITTSBURGH 12:10

6/19 FRI HOUSTON 7:10
6/20 SAT HOUSTON 6:10
6/21 SUN HOUSTON 1:10

Wow, that has got to be a scheduling anomaly. Be sure to take advantage of your few opportunities to see Minnesota’s boys of summer the month of June.

Minnesota Twins Schedule

Well, there isn’t much for an average Minnesota Twins blogger to blog about in the off-season…which is why I am still considering giving up this Minnesota Twins blog. I did notice that the 2009 Minnesota Twins Schedule is out – no joke. It seems like Major League Baseball is the one sport that has no problem planning ahead. I swear it is just days after the World Series is over and the new MLB Schedules are out. I will have to write more posts about the Twins Schedule later. I see Twins tickets are already for sale, too. Crazy.

Twins swept by Blue Jays, lose two to Rockies, take on Texas Rangers

Ok, if the post title didn’t do it, let me get you up to speed, Twins fans. The Minnesota Twins were swept by the Toronto Blue Jays at the Metrodome. I had no idea that the Blue Jays were so good or rather that the Twins were so bad. The series was littered with poor fielding. Mistakes that just shouldn’t happen when you are playing on your home turf. The games were all close and the Twins just came up short (and unlucky) three times in a row.

With their momentum in the negative zone, the Twins then traveled to Denver to take on the National League Colorado Rockies. The Twins lost two of the three match-ups and returned home to the Metrodome to face the Rangers. Check back to my Twins blog on Thursday for a Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers recap! Go Twins!

Twin Tickets make great Gifts part two

So I told my mom I bought my dad some Minnesota Twins baseball Tickets for Christmas and she thought it would be fun if just us girls went to a Twins game this year too. So my sister and my mom and I looked at the entire Twins schedule for hours...the three of us deciding on a game took an act of Congress! We finally decided on Sunday May 4th, Twins vs. Detroit Tigers. I told my sister that real baseball fans wait until they know who is pitching before deciding which game to attend, but then again we aren’t going to see the pitchers, we are going to see the first baseman (Justin Morneau) and my sister has the hots for the catcher (Joe Mauer) or should I say third baseman….ha ha.

Twin Tickets make great Gifts

I think the Twins and really the MLB announce the 2008 baseball schedule so early so they can get as many sales as possible, well it worked on me. I decided I would buy my dad some Twins Tickets for Christmas. I was looking at the Twins Schedule and I see the Twins are in Milwaukee over Fathers Day weekend, so that’s out – weren’t they at Miller Park last year for Fathers Day too? So I opted for the Twins vs. Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday June 22. Tickets between the bases were affordable and I know my dad will enjoy the game.

Torii at the Metrodome

I was just looking at the 2008 Minnesota Twins Schedule and realized that Torii Hunter will be on the Metrodome turf on opening day of the Twins season. Granted he will be in an Angels uniform and will be sitting in the visitors dug out, but Twins fans wanted Torii there on opening day and they will get him. I wonder what the reaction will be? I am pretty sure I am in the minority of Twins fans when I say that I don’t think Torii is all that and I certainly won’t be giving the greedy outfielder a standing ovation.

Twins Release 2008 Schedule

The Minnesota Twins released their 2008 Twins Schedule and the World Series hasn’t even started yet. I guess the baseball bosses truly believe in only looking forward, not looking back (and oh what an ugly season it was to look back at). Opening Day: March 31st vs the Los Angeles Angels at the Metrodome. Other key schedule notes . . . two visits by the New York Yankees, yes two! New York will play four games at the Dome from May 30-June 2 and then return for three more on Aug. 11-13…and the Twins will travel for the first time ever to the Rocky Mountains May 16-18 when they play the Colorado Rockies (could be the World Series Champion Colorado Rockies).
